ADIEU INDIAN IDOL FOR RICHA

The competition is cutthroat now. Tension was in the air. Faces were reflecting fear and anticipation. Will they make it? Or not? The ‘Indian Idol’ gala round began with some flawless performances. But strangely some of the best singers couldn’t deliver their best. The judges were nearly at war. Their opinions differed. Their words clashed. While Javed kept on backing Anu Maliik, Alisha was left all alone to fight for herself. Udit was the smartest of the lot. He simply refused to open his mouth.

Richa's performance could not satisfy the judges as usual except Alisha who thinks she is a rocking singer. All the judges realised her voice is still not matured for a playback singer. Bhartiya Janta also agreed with the judges and they voted her out.

Hi.. This is Dr. Nadim from Karachi Pakistan. I think the program as a whole is fantastic and here at my house.. everybody is just fixed to TV when the show starts & remained glued till it ends.. WOW..!!!

As for the contestants... I may select the top 3 males as Emon, Chang & Praleen. While for the girls the choice will be Ankita, Charu & Jolly.

I would like to comment on ANKITA.. the girl may not have a true singer's voice but my my.. she has LIFE in her. ZINDAGI hey Yaar iss mein..!!

Whenever she came.. she just surpassed every one. BRAVO.. sweet heart Bravo..!!
I wish you all the success..
Cheers,

I am feeling sorry for Richa. Although her voice is not yet matured but what can she do about it?? She has the "Sur" as pointed out by Anu Malek but she cannot do anything to improve the maturity of her voice...Poor girl!!! :-(

Its pathetic that Indian Idol is just a search for a playback singer!! Shame to the organisers!! Shame to the judges.

Hi. This is Bilal from Islamabad, Pakistan.I think it was a bit unfair with Richa as poor babe was hearing the same comments for weeks now and ironically there is nothing she or any one could do about it. if judges think she has childest voice then II3 management team has to reconsier the criteria as what age group can participate.

Looking at some of the comments here, interesting to know that Indian Idol has many fans in Pakistan of all places.

Wondering if there is a 'pakistan Idol' coming up?

Hi
Me Tirtha from Kathmandu . Judge’s decision makes me sad. Actually they are not giving ‘A’ grade justice. May be they are ‘A’ grade professional. We know 'A' grade person cant give 'A' grade decision.Judge said Richa's voice is not mature, this is not logical reason.
Anyway “RICHA” wish you all the best, try to best in future.I want to see "Richa Star".

Judges decision regarding Richa's childish voice is true.. Richa its all game of fate so dont be so much upset...i like charoo she is really a confident girl she didnt cry in any circumstances ..... smita, richa, abhishek and prashant cry a lot :) good luck for all

After reading and relating to the comments here, I would like to say Thanks to all the friends from Pakistan, Nepal and other countries who have given their opinions.

I agree to all the comments. I like ANKITA big time. And as far as Richa's voice, hear her singing in the music video and you will realise how her voice can do magic! Although she sings just one line individually, I just couldn't believe it was the same Richa singing

Indian Idol 3 brought out some of the best talents in the country.
The show too, was absolutely marvellous, well designed, and extremely well compered. Mini mathur is amongst the best that I have seen in recent times, and what touches one's heart is the care and concern that she shows to he underdog. So much goodness in her. Her beauty comes from within her!
Richa had to go, but I am sure that this girl has a very great future.
Ankita is brilliant, but she has to enlarge her scope of songs from the 'hot' numbers that she sing with so much gusto.
The show is glamorous and very, very well done. I hope that the bonding that the participants have shown in genuine and not put up for viewers.
And, despite their differences, the judges have been positive in their criticism, and haven't damned anyone.
Great going. When it ends, I am going to miss it.

Hi,

i really felt sad for Richa. What one could make out from all the Judges and viewers comments about Richa performance that a person of such a young age cannot go home with Indian Idol title. Come on this is a talent show and all of us know that Richa was far far better contestant than many others who are still there in the Show like Ankita .... Ankita voice is horrible , it is a show of singing talent and not of confidence on stage. If at all Ankita becomes becomes a Play back singer ( which is not at all possible) , people wud hearing to her songs and not seeing her performance.
If one looks at video of Indian Idol which has come out on Friday , Richa sings just one line indivually and My God it is excellent.
Richa never feel bad , i think you can approach film producers who can launch u in a big way and please do not wait for Indian Idol Four no way .
ALL the best and never loose heart.

Hi,

i really felt sad for Richa.
Richa was one of best singers in the whole lot of current Indian Idol 3.
What i cud make out from the judges comments that a person of young age cannot take the title of Indian Idol three.
Richa is far far better than many other contestants who r still in the contest like Ankita. Please remember that this is a singing competiiton and a perosn ahs to be judged for the quality of hie/her voice and not stage performance like it is done incaseof ANKITA. Ankita is there in show just because of ehr stage confidence otherwise her voice is horrible , who wud like to listen to her songs incase she becomes play back singer ( which is not at all possible in this LIFE).
Just see Richa sings only one line of song indiviually in the video relaesed on friday and her she sounds excellent !!!.
Richa never lose heart and u can approach film producers who can help u lauch in a big way. And please do not wait for Indian Idol four ok .... Take insipraiton form Sunidhi Chauhan who started singing in Films right from the age of 12 0r 13.
ALL the best and GOD Bless you.
Regards,
Narinder kaur

A little non indian idol related. For all those who feel that it's not fair that Richa doesn't have a mature voice and should not be decided against, a piece of info: Trying checking out Sunidhi Chauhan's history. As young or younger than Richa but a rich full bodied voice.

Not true at all. This is not the Russian parliament! Each has as much right to his or her opinion/ judgment, and despite their frequent differences, not one of them has been neither nasty nor negative in expressing their views. There is no 'one-oneupmanship' or personal mudslinging. This show, in that respect, scores over similar music shows on air now.
And each of the four Judges has brought his or her own glamour to Indian Idol 3, making it more enjoyable.
I see the three music hows on our TV, and Indian Idol, by far is the best...in terms of participants, in terms of compeers and in terms of Judges and their judgment.
When a participant has to go, i i no th Judges who decide, bu it the audience that votes them out. Nothing can be more fair.

Hi, this is Richa from Singapore

Richa sings well, but she has a tendency to give all her songs a classical touch which I don't think it suitable all the time. Also, she has a slight slur in her pronuciation that she has yet to grow out of.

She is still a little immature for this competition, and i dont mean her voice. she needs to grow up a little still for she lacks the level of maturity that the other girls of her age posess.

Maybe if she comes back in a year or two she will do better.

Hi there...
I am gaurav..I love to watch all musical shows even I am in capetown i donot leave any of them... i love Indian idol very much but my sense of music says that there are not very good and very muchh consistent performances are coming except few good singers like Emon,Prashanth and Deepali..it is too muchh glamorous and behind dresses and performancesMusic goes on back seat.. and worst thing is they do not have very excellent musicians as well..I could remember in Indian Idol2 Amey has gone because of Musical arrangement...If there is really good music and singers then plateform is ZEE's SAREGAMAPA ...My opinion.. no offence meant...

Rica is not a good singer it is good she is out of indian idol............. Richa u suck

Unknown said...

the judges now think Richa has a childish voice n think she is not ready for the indian idol n blah blah blah....
if i can very well recall are they not the same ppl who thought her voice was fantastic n stuff?????
ii think they made a fool out of her for no reason n its not at all funny..
atleast not at this stage coz it hurts to all that they said now after them praising her..
yeah i didnt support richa personally from day one coz i thought her voice was not ready but atleast i felt that from day one unlike the judges who gave her so much hope n let her down in the end.

shame on all the judges and indian idol management team

Unknown said...

oh n im not disappointed that richa is out. all i think is the judges are not right. they no jack shit abt judgement i feel....
they should not have taken her in, in the first place...
n after they choose her they should have not turned back their words...
how silly they are...
they dnt know how to judge. they are judging wholly on emotional basis i feel

how i hate the judges now...
grow up the four of you..........

Immature singers, too young for their voices to be deveoped to the fullest, gloomy set, and an irritable Anu Malik , always interfereing in other judges' affairs. All n all , a disaster, better watch good shows like Sa Re Ga ma pa on Zee, instead of the lackluster INDIAN IDOL3.
