Anchors

Indian Idol 3 will see a new anchor : Hussain Khuwajirwala along with the old gold Mini Mathur. Lets have a brief biography of both of them.

Mini Mathur

Mini Mathur, an MBA from a premier business school, was working with Hindustan Thompson Associates before she started as VJ with MTV. She has much to her credit. For starters, she hosts Bombay Blush—a 'wacky' culture show on India, which airs on BBC in England. She has also hosted shows like Big Picture, MTV 123, MTV Gaana Masti, a spoof on film songs and international videos, and many more.

Stepping behind the camera, she was producer on two documentaries—A Nation Celebrates, a film commissioned by the Ministry of External affairs to commemorate 50 years of India's independence and From Corner Shops to Lords, a film also commissioned by the MEA on successful NRIs in England.

Mini stepped out of the limelight for a while when she had her son Vivan. However, she made a dazzling comeback as the host for the hugely popular show Indian Idol.

Her six-year experience anchoring countdown shows, game shows, travel & lifestyle style programs had conditioned her to handle the gamut of emotions she had to deal with as presenter of Indian Idol. Though a well-known name with classes, Indian Idol made her a familiar name among masses.

Now vivacious Mini Mathur will enter her third tryst with Indian Idol Series 3 as presenter and close confidant of the contestants. She will be seen co-hosting the third season with the talented Hussain Khuwajirwala.

Hussain Khuwajirwala

This popular television actor started out as most youngsters do—with modelling when he was in college because he needed the pocket money and friends had told him he was ‘reasonably good looking’.

Though he did not want to take up a career in modelling, his stint in the fashion world bagged him a small part in Zee TV’s Ashirwad, followed by Ekta Kapoor’s Kanyadaan, which aired on Sony.
But people sat up and took notice when he appeared on Kumkum and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. He also hosted several successful shows like Kismai Kitna Hai Dum, Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai and Khullja Sim Sim. This young and talented actor soon got a huge fan following.

Now his popularity rating is set to soar off the charts as he takes on the role of hosting season three of Indian Idol. The producers of the show believe that the actor known for his dancing skills (he participated in Nach Baliye) and histrionics will be able to connect with the 16 to 30-year-old contestants and, at the same, engage the viewers.
