Replacing tears with laughter

The girls gave strong performances, but a few favourites could not live up to their potential. Rashmi Vijayan from Dubai and the Anu fan, Pinky Maidasani from Mumbai, had to bid goodbye to the stage and their dreams of becoming the next Indian Idol. The boys, however, lifted everyone out of the doldrums that had set in with some mind-blowing performances.
